Central London Clubs Closing

Posted by: Kelly Hussey 21/11/2008 @ 11:19

Well, well, well. Who’d have thought it? After a year of Central London clubs closing – think The Cross, The Key, Cargo, Marquee Club, and Turnmills – and more Central London clubs closing in January (The End and AKA), the news broke yesterday that it’s not just the dance clubs being hit. Chinawhite, Paper, Cafe Royal and …

Celebrity DJs at London Clubs

Is it just me or are Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson just a little bit annoying? OK, really annoying. As they flounce about London DJing at some of the capital’s best known celebrity haunts, there’s rarely a day that goes by when their photo isn’t plastered across the newspapers.

It’s been reported that Sam earns up to £70,000 a set if she brings Lindsay with her. Bargain! I guess, at least they’re actually DOING something, unlike Paris Hilton who was recently paid mega bucks just to go to clubs in and around London. Miss Ronson has DJd at some of our biggest clubs, including Cafe De Paris, …

Christmas Clubbing in London

Posted by: Kelly Hussey 14/11/2008 @ 16:31

Jingle bells, jingle bells! OK, I know we’re all a bit blue about Chrimbo, what with the credit crunch pinching in oh-so-painful ways, but I do think it’s important to spread a bit of cheer. Yes the weather is chilly, the wallets are light and the mornings are dark, but there’s a lot of fun about to hit London, and I couldn’t let it pass by without so much as a hello…

Although everyone is a bit miserable (one look around the tubes and you’ll see just how depressed we all are) if you're looking for Christmas clubbing in London then never fear, Christmas club nights are being planned with many tickets on sale now. And don’t worry if …

London Members Clubs

Well apparently we’re in the middle of a credit crunch. I am certainly feeling the pinch, having said goodbye to my favourite brands in favour of cheaper supermarket-own alternatives. Rather than stick on the heating I’ve taken to wearing five layers in the house and who needs lightbulbs when you can have candles? OK, OK I’m exaggerating, but you get what I mean. I certainly won’t be spending a small fortune at Westfield on chrimbo presents this year anyway!

So while I’m trying to help by bringing you guides to Cheap London Clubs, …

Cheap London Clubs

Posted by: Kelly Hussey 22/10/2008 @ 14:08

Well, we’re only just over half way through the month and I have no money left. And it’s not just me - although my idea of budgeting is hitting Topshop (who just announced increases in their profits) at the start of the month only to live on beans on toast for 2 weeks before the next payday. We’re all starting to feel the pinch. Rising gas and electricity bills, food costs soaring. Blimey, at least we can drown our sorrows at the weekend… Um, in London? Are you mental? A place where the average price of a pint edges ever closer to £4, where people don’t blink at handing over a tenner for a cocktail before heading to a club where they have to part with anywhere up to £20 just to get in… Yeah, I’ll be going to the cinema too …
