Would I recommend this restaurant NO.
Did I think it was value for money NO.

We booked a few weeks in advance as it was for a birthday and we wanted a booth. Once we got out of our taxi in Devonshire Square the hunt was on for the restaurant...... hidden away behind locked gates we could see a sign but no signs telling you how to get to it around the building works. So no, Devonshire Square is not the best address to go by to find it.

Once we found the front entrance we followed the stairs down and were now impressed...... Sadly that didn’t last. Firstly we didn't get a booth, they had all been 'allocated'.... when I wondered, a number of them were still empty. We were seated right next to the kitchen entrance so not in what I would call the fully themed area and my husband chair was constantly knocked by the servers.

The belly dancers, 3 of them not 7 as someone else reported in a review were entertaining but very brief and we only saw them the once during a the evening…….a Saturday night!!

The food was un-inspiring and very poor portions, highlighted even more so when the bill arrived costing us over £40 pp and we weren’t even full, and with a service charge of £24. Our meal only consisted of a starter and main each… for the starter we each chose a dish and decided to share which was ok but nothing exciting and very small portions. As for the main courses firstly the guys both chose lamb and rice which hardly filled the plate, both were unimpressed, another of the dishes chosen was a fish dish and after the amount of questions we had asked prior to ordering I would have expected the waiter to check if she wanted anything to accompany that rather than just leave us to find out it was fish and fish only…… for £18.

Sadly we were very disappointed with our experience at Kenza, none of us would recommend it to anyone and we still can’t believe we paid for the overpriced under nourishing meal.

If you ever saw the movie "Eyes wide shut", you will recognize the place from the movie :-)

Good service, a bit hard to find.

Price is a bit too high for the quality of the food.

I have the feeling the food comes on the second place in this restaurant.
